Reading an image - media codes

1) Analyse this RBK 50 Cent advert using the media codes you learned in the lesson: Technical, Written or verbal, Symbolic or non-verbal, Narrative. Write a paragraph for each one exploring the way meanings are created using those media codes.

Technical codes: The lighting in the image of 50 Cent is concentrated on his facial characteristics, darkening the sides of his face and his eyes, and bringing out the contours of his nose, forehead, and lips. Also, it is a close-up picture.

Written or verbal codes: The author encourages us to live each day as if it were our last because nobody can guarantee that tomorrow will come. The writing is approximately 50 cents past.

Symbolic or non-verbal codes: With his jewelry (necklace, earrings), cap, and tank top, 50 Cent is dressed in clothing that symbolizes his rapping and music business. Additionally, he has a serious expression to go with the written language. Additionally, the dark, ominous setting in which the photo was taken fits well with the language written.

Enigma codes: The finger print sheet reveals a sinister aspect of 50 Cent's narrative and what he's attempting to make clear and communicate to us.

Action codes: The fundamental idea of the sentence is that something negative might occur at some point, which might be interpreted as that some sort of drama might occur.

Technical codes: Sunset time is displayed by the lighting, and the colors of the setting sun blend in with the water. The two individuals on the left are seen in the iconic Titanic posture while on a boat in the photograph.

Written or verbal codes: Because it's a replica from the Titanic movie, the text "Get movies fast as never before" corresponds with the entire image.

Symbolic or non-verbal codes: The characters in the print advertisement have alike hair and clothing to those in the film. The contents are also written in sans-serif, a contemporary, approachable, and simple font.

Enigma codes: the bird on the woman's face matches the text because it indicates that they were moving quickly and ran into the bird as a result.
Action codes: This print advertisement doesn't appear to have any action codes, in my opinion.
Narrative codes: This print advertisement doesn't appear to have any narrative codes, in my opinion.
